Steelville Woman Dies in Crawford County Crash
A 65-year-old Steelville woman died in a car crash on Highway M in Crawford County on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred at approximately 2:05 p.m. The woman was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tracker when her vehicle veered off the right side of the road and hit a culvert.
The impact caused the vehicle to become airborne before striking a tree. The driver was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that the woman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
