Two seriously injured in three-vehicle crash on Highway 80.

TOWN OF CLIFTON, Wis. (WKOW) — A three-vehicle crash on Highway 80 left two individuals seriously injured on Monday at 6:20 p.m.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, a 28-year-old man from Cassville was driving a 2022 Ford F250 and was preparing to turn left into a field drive. A 30-year-old man from Livingston, identified as Christopher Fawcett, was behind him in a 2005 Ford Taurus. Fawcett did not notice the truck slowing to turn.

In an attempt to avoid the truck’s trailer, Fawcett struck it, causing his vehicle to cross the centerline. This led to a collision with a northbound 2015 Kia driven by a 56-year-old man from Montfort.

Both Fawcett and the 56-year-old sustained serious injuries and were transported to Southwest Health Center by Montfort EMS. Fawcett was cited for inattentive driving and operating without insurance, according to authorities.

The scene was managed by local emergency responders, with no lane closures reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
