Two Injured in Train and Vehicle Crash on Flat Creek Road

Williamson County, TX – Deputies responded to a collision between a and a vehicle towing a trailer on Flat Creek Road at Riggs Road on October 10 at approximately 2:41 p.m.

Authorities reported that the accident involved a freight and a pickup truck pulling a utility trailer. The train, operated by a local railway, was traveling westbound when the vehicle, heading south on Flat Creek Road, collided with it at the intersection.

Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene. According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, one individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. No fatalities have been reported at this time.

The impact caused significant damage to the pickup truck, while the train remained upright with no reported damage to its cargo or crew. Flat Creek Road was closed in both directions for several hours as officials conducted an investigation and cleared the wreckage.
