Lakeville Car Crash Injures Two; Driver Charged with OUI
A car crashed into a house in Lakeville, Massachusetts, early Sunday morning, injuring two people inside the vehicle.
According to the Lakeville Fire Department, emergency responders arrived at the scene on Precinct Street around 3:44 a.m. They found that the vehicle had collided with the residence. The sole occupant of the home was evaluated and reported to be uninjured.
Two individuals from the car were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries and further evaluation.
The Lakeville building inspector assessed the structural safety of the home, while state and local police assisted with the incident.
Authorities have charged the driver, identified as 22-year-old Russell Nietlich of Middleborough, with operating under the influence, operating a vehicle to endanger, and leaving the scene of a crash.
