GOLDEN, Colo. — Two individuals were hospitalized following a box truck crash on Monday evening near Interstate 70 and C-470.
The incident involved a box truck that rolled off I-70 onto C-470, according to Golden Fire-Rescue. The two injured individuals are reported to be in stable condition.
Emergency crews responded to reports of the crash and worked to extinguish the fire that resulted from the collision. During the response, a power pole fell onto the box truck, as stated by Golden Fire. Fortunately, no injuries to first responders were reported.
Xcel Energy was dispatched to the scene to ensure the downed power pole was inactive. Currently, it remains unclear what impact the crash has had on local electrical service.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
