Laconia, N.H. — A crash on the Route 3/11 Bypass claimed the lives of a 20-year-old and a 63-year-old, and left another person injured Friday afternoon.
According to Gilford police, the incident occurred when a vehicle crossed the double solid line, resulting in a head-on collision involving three vehicles traveling in opposite directions. Grady Shoemaker, 20, of Laconia, and Renee Privitera, 63, of Belmont, were pronounced dead at the scene.
One individual sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, while another person at the scene reported no injuries.
The Route 3/11 Bypass was temporarily closed between Gilford Avenue and Lakeshore Road during the investigation and reopened around 7:40 p.m.
