Tuscaloosa Woman Dies in Early Morning Crash
TUSCALOOSA, AL—A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 59 claimed the life of a Tuscaloosa woman early on November 9.
Asia D. Anthony, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene after the 2021 Toyota RAV4 she was riding in veered off the road and collided with a parked 2024 Freightliner tractor-trailer, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers.
The driver of the Toyota, 25-year-old Nina C. McCaa of Mobile, sustained injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital for medical treatment.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:42 a.m. near the 98-mile marker, located about two miles south of Lake View.
Authorities are currently investigating the crash, with no further details available at this time.
