SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. — A Kentucky State trooper is recovering after a crash on I-64 West around 1 p.m. Sunday.
According to investigators, the trooper’s vehicle was engulfed in flames upon arrival of emergency responders. The trooper sustained back and arm pain but is expected to recover fully. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
A section of the interstate was closed during the investigation, and authorities are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
