LEDE: A Massachusetts State Police cruiser was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Route 9 west near the I-95/128 interchange in Wellesley on Friday morning.
Authorities reported that the trooper driving the cruiser sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital. No further information regarding the condition of the trooper or the driver of the other vehicle has been disclosed.
Aerial footage from the scene revealed multiple state police cruisers and flatbed tow trucks. Both vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the location.
The incident is currently under investigation by State Police.
