Tragic crash kills entire family in Pleasanton accident.

Pleasanton Fatal Crash Claims Four Lives

A solo-vehicle crash on Saturday in Pleasanton resulted in the deaths of a mother, father, and their two children.

The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. on Interstate 580 westbound near the Santa Rita Road exit, according to the California Highway Patrol. The vehicle, a family minivan, veered off the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation.

Authorities confirmed that all four occupants, ages 34, 36, 10, and 8, were pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency response teams, including the Pleasanton Fire Department and local law enforcement, arrived promptly, but all efforts to revive the occupants were unsuccessful.

The westbound lanes of Interstate 580 were closed for several hours while an investigation into the crash was conducted. Traffic was diverted to side streets, leading to significant delays in the area.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward as they continue their investigation.
