Tractor Trailer Rollover Closes I-90 Westbound in Framingham
A tractor trailer rolled over on Interstate 90 westbound at mile marker 113.5 in Framingham early Wednesday, causing significant traffic disruptions.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), the incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. and has led to the closure of the westbound side of the highway. Traffic is being diverted via Exit 117, with delays reportedly extending back to Route 128.
Witnesses reported that the truck is blocking all westbound lanes, resulting in a lengthy backup. Traffic reporter Ed Hughes noted that eastbound traffic is also experiencing delays back to Route 9, as congestion builds towards Boston.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the crash or reported any injuries. MassDOT indicated that lane closures are expected to remain in effect for several hours while crews respond to the scene.
Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes and avoid the area if possible.
