Three killed in plane crash in Tennessee, including surgeon and children.

GONZALES, La. — An investigation is ongoing following a plane crash in Tennessee that killed all three people on board.

Dr. Lucius Doucet, a prominent Baton Rouge plastic surgeon, was piloting a single-engine Beechcraft V35 when the aircraft departed from Louisiana Regional Airport around 9 a.m. Wednesday. His two children, Giselle and Jean-Luc Doucet, were also on the flight, which was headed to Louisville, Kentucky. Both children were set to graduate from LSU the following day.

The crash occurred in Williamson County, Tennessee, where emergency responders received a 911 call reporting the sound of an explosion. Authorities have confirmed that the debris field spans approximately half a mile.

“It’s a large debris field, so pinpointing the exact location of the crash remains challenging,” stated Chief Deputy Mark Elrod of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation is being conducted by local authorities. Further details will be released as they become available.
