Teen Killed in Car Crash Near Jefferson High School
ROCKFORD, Ill. — A 17-year-old driver died following a serious car accident Thursday near Jefferson High School.
According to Rockford Police, the crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Samuelson Road, west of Jefferson. Emergency responders transported four victims to local hospitals; one has now been confirmed dead. The condition of the other three individuals remains unclear.
Samuelson Road was closed for the duration of the accident response but has since reopened. Authorities have not provided further updates regarding the investigation.
