Preschoolers Help Stuff the with School Supplies for Nashville Kids

NASHVILLE, TN — Seven local Primrose schools donated over 6,000 notebooks to support students in need, assisting United Way's Stuff the initiative. The supplies will benefit students across more than 14 public schools in the area.

In a separate incident, a school bus carrying 11 students was involved in a crash with a Ford F150 on Aug. 6, injuring six students. The collision occurred near the intersection of Longview Drive and Highway 109 in Portland just before 3 p.m., according to authorities.

The bus was stopped in the left lane at a red light when the pickup truck rear-ended it, as reported by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Two students received treatment on-site and were released to parents, while four others were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. Specific ages of the injured were not disclosed, but the report identified them as students.

The driver of the pickup truck was unharmed. State Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene for investigation.

This is the second school bus crash in Sumner County this year. A previous incident involved a bus carrying 19 students, which went off the road and rolled onto its side in a creek bed. Six students were injured in that crash as well.
