Serious Injuries Reported in Somers Crash
SOMERS, CT — A two-car collision resulted in serious injuries on Sunday afternoon, according to Connecticut State Police.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of School and Main streets. Authorities reported that one driver was airlifted to the hospital by a LifeStar helicopter due to serious injuries; however, those injuries are not life-threatening. The second driver sustained minor injuries and was also transported to a medical facility for treatment.
Emergency response teams, including local fire departments, were on the scene. As a result of the incident, roadways in the area have been closed, and an investigation is ongoing.
