Semi-Truck Driver Dies in I-25 Crash in Loveland
A semi-truck driver was killed around 2 p.m. Tuesday when his vehicle rolled off Interstate 25 in Loveland, according to Colorado State Patrol (CSP).
The truck was traveling north, hauling a flatbed trailer near milepost 258. It veered off the right shoulder, breached the guardrail, and rolled onto its driver’s side, ejecting the driver before coming to a stop off the shoulder.
Authorities have not yet identified the driver, pending notification of next of kin, according to CSP Public Information Officer Hunter Mathews. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
As of 3 p.m., while the high-occupancy vehicle lane remained open, two northbound lanes were closed for the ongoing crash investigation led by CSP. Drivers are advised to expect delays in the area.
It is currently unclear how long the lane closures will last, but updates are available at CoTrip.org.
