Plane Crash in Connecticut Parking Lot Injures Pilot
PLAINVILLE, CT — One person was injured Monday when a small plane crashed in a parking lot in Plainville.
A security camera recorded the incident, showing the plane flying low, colliding with a tree, and subsequently spinning before hitting the ground. The pilot, identified as 79-year-old Manfred Frost, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Frost reported to NBC affiliate WVIT that he was en route to breakfast when the crash occurred.
According to authorities, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently investigating the incident.
