Pedestrian seriously injured in Groton crash on Main Street.

Struck by Vehicle in Groton, Hospitalized

A pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Groton, Massachusetts, on Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 2:07 p.m., Police and Fire Departments responded to a crash on Main Street where they found a seriously injured pedestrian.

According to officials, a preliminary investigation indicated that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Main Street when it struck the pedestrian who was crossing at a designated crosswalk.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported via LifeFlight to UMass Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the incident or whether the driver will face charges.

An investigation is currently ongoing, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
