Pedestrian killed in crash on Interstate 55; public help needed.

Louisiana State Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Killed in Crash

Louisiana State Police are asking for public help to identify a who was killed in a crash on Interstate 55 on October 27.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:05 a.m. on the northbound lanes of Interstate 55, near LA Highway 442, between Tickfaw and University Avenue in Hammond. Despite thorough investigations, including tests by the coroner's office, authorities have yet to identify the pedestrian.

The victim is described as a Black male, estimated to be between 18 and 25 years old, standing approximately 5'8″ to 5'9″, and sporting dreadlocks. Distinctive tattoos include “T.B.T” on his left inner arm and “Long Live LJ” on the inside of his right arm.

Authorities encourage anyone with information that may assist in identifying this individual to contact Louisiana State Police Troop L at 985-893-6250. This case remains under investigation.
