One Dead, One Seriously Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Route 7 South in Danbury
DANBURY, CT — A wrong-way crash on Route 7 South resulted in one fatality and another person seriously injured early Sunday morning.
According to State Police, 33-year-old Charles Connors of Milford was driving northbound in the southbound lanes when he collided head-on with another vehicle around 2 a.m. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 25-year-old Danielle Dempsey of Danbury, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Connors was transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
