Officer Injured in Crash During High-Speed Road Rage Pursuit

BOZEMAN — A Bozeman Police officer is recovering after a patrol car was struck during a high-speed chase on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident, triggered by a road rage altercation involving a weapon, began around 1:21 p.m. on 7th Ave. in Bozeman. The suspect fled the scene, leading to a multi-agency pursuit that included the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, Bozeman Police Department, and Montana Highway Patrol.

During the chase, the suspect collided with a Bozeman Police vehicle, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to the officer. The K-9 partner was unharmed. Law enforcement ultimately apprehended the adult male suspect.

According to the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation has now been transferred to them. Authorities stated that this is an active investigation, with further details to be released as they become available.
