BRENTWOOD, N.H. — A 23-year-old driver, Ryan Dooley, is seeking bail after being charged with negligent homicide and multiple offenses related to a fatal crash in Londonderry in July.
According to investigators, Dooley was intoxicated when his truck collided with a car backing out of a driveway on Hall Road. The vehicle was carrying two sisters who were leaving their parents’ home. One sister later succumbed to her injuries at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
During a hearing on Tuesday, Dooley’s defense team cited his family circumstances and requested his release under supervised conditions, including electronic monitoring and the forfeiture of his driving license.
Authorities argued against his release, asserting that it would pose a danger to the community as he would return to work at the establishment where he acquired alcohol prior to the incident and be near the victim’s family.
The judge ordered a further evaluation before making a decision regarding Dooley’s bail.
