Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-95 Injures Three
A multi-vehicle collision occurred on I-95 southbound near mile marker 125 in Springfield on October 12, 2023, at approximately 3:15 p.m.
Authorities reported that four vehicles were involved in the crash, which resulted in injuries to three individuals. Emergency response teams, including local Fire and Rescue Services, arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance. Two of the injured were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while one individual sustained more serious injuries.
In response to the incident, authorities closed two southbound lanes of I-95 for approximately two hours for clean-up and investigation. Traffic delays were reported in the area, with vehicles being diverted onto alternative routes.
