Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in I-494 Crash in Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON, MN — A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on I-494 Sunday evening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Around 5:15 p.m., a 42-year-old motorcyclist was traveling westbound alongside a 32-year-old driver in a Subaru Outback when authorities reported a sudden slowdown. The motorcyclist collided with the Subaru near East Bush Lake Road, ultimately coming to rest in the second lane of traffic.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries. Authorities noted that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The Subaru driver did not sustain any injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
