Motorcyclist Killed in I-70 Crash in Jefferson County
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A 19-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash involving a bus and a potential third vehicle on westbound Interstate 70 on Tuesday evening.
According to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), the incident occurred at milepost 264, west of the Youngfield exit, around 6:46 p.m. The motorcyclist, a male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver and passengers were reported uninjured.
CSP stated that a third vehicle may have been involved, but the driver did not remain at the scene. The agency's Vehicular Crimes Unit is actively investigating the accident, and the cause remains undetermined.
Westbound I-70 was closed temporarily for investigation, but the roadway has since reopened.
Authorities continue to gather information on the crash as part of their ongoing investigation.
