Motorcyclist Dies Following Collision in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A motorcyclist was pronounced dead after a crash on McLeod Drive at East Tropicana Avenue on September 5 at 11:25 p.m.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Tropicana Avenue when a Honda Accord, driven by 36-year-old Bryan Vargas-Caicedo, made a left turn onto McLeod Drive. The two vehicles collided, ejecting the motorcyclist onto the roadway.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries. Vargas-Caicedo sustained minor injuries and displayed signs of impairment at the scene. He was subsequently booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section is actively investigating the incident. This crash increases traffic-related fatalities within LVMPD’s jurisdiction in 2025 to 111.
