Motorcyclist Dies in Russell Springs Crash

RUSSELL SPRINGS, Ky. (LEX 18) — A 55-year-old motorcyclist was killed Thursday night after colliding with a pickup truck on KY 379, according to Kentucky State Police (KSP).

William Miller, a resident of Russell Springs, was pronounced dead at Russell County Hospital following the incident that occurred at 8:44 p.m., KSP reported.

Preliminary investigations indicated that Miller was traveling north on KY 379 on a 2004 Honda Shadow when his vehicle stopped in the roadway for unknown reasons. Authorities stated that a Dodge Ram, also heading north, subsequently struck Miller’s motorcycle. Limited visibility, attributed to vehicular and environmental conditions, contributed to the collision.

The driver of the Ram was not injured. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
