Motorcycle rider dies in crash at Las Vegas intersection.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A fatal collision involving a and a pickup truck occurred Saturday at approximately 10:22 a.m. at East Washington Avenue and North Bruce Street.

According to authorities, a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400 motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Washington Avenue at a high speed when it approached a yellow traffic signal at Bruce Street. Simultaneously, a 1998 Ford F-150 was heading westbound and entered the intersection to make a left turn on a yellow light.

The collision happened as the motorcycle rider failed to obey a red traffic signal, resulting in a crash with the front right portion of the Ford. Witnesses reported that the rider was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway.

Despite medical personnel’s life-saving efforts, the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was transported to UMC Trauma Center for reported injuries and cooperated with police, showing no signs of impairment.

This incident marks the 121st traffic-related fatality in the jurisdiction of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) for 2025. The LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section is currently investigating the collision.
