GRANT COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) — A Prairie du Chien man died in a motorcycle crash south of Wyalusing on Sunday at approximately 7:12 p.m.
The incident occurred on County Trunk Highway X. A witness driving a UTV reported hearing a loud noise and discovered the motorcycle in a heavily wooded ditch on the west side of the roadway.
Taylor Blizard, 31, was operating a 2005 Harley Davidson 883 when he reportedly lost control while navigating a curve. The motorcycle veered off the road, resulting in Blizard falling over an embankment. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene, according to authorities.
Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the incident, the Grant County Sheriff's Office stated. This marks the sixth traffic fatality in Grant County in 2023.
