Deadly Motorcycle Crash on Route 132 in Sanbornton
A 52-year-old man was pronounced dead following a motorcycle crash on Route 132 in Sanbornton Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:08 p.m. when the motorcyclist struck a tree while navigating a curve.
According to the Sanbornton Police Department, the victim's name is being withheld pending family notification. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after the accident, and Route 132 was closed near the intersection with Isaac Colby Road for several hours. The roadway was reopened around 8:15 p.m.
As of October 6, 2024, New Hampshire had reported 101 traffic fatalities, including 24 involving motorcycles. This total does not account for the recent crash in Francestown or the Sanbornton incident. From January 1, 2024, to October 6, 2024, the state recorded 104 fatalities, with 135 reported by the end of the year—marking the fifth-highest total in state history.
