Lede: A 50-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman from Columbia sustained minor injuries in a single-car crash on I-70 eastbound on Sunday.
Authorities reported the incident occurred at approximately 3:10 p.m. at the 134-mile marker. The driver was operating a 2007 Toyota Sienna when the vehicle slid off the wet pavement.
The Sienna veered off the right side of the roadway, striking a sign before crossing the separator and moving onto the south outer road. Both individuals were transported by ambulance to University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The vehicle was subsequently towed from the scene by I-70. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
