Military Truck Involved in Crash near Capitol Hill
A military truck collided with another vehicle near Capitol Hill on Wednesday morning, resulting in one injury.
The incident occurred at North Carolina Avenue Southeast and 8th Street at approximately 6:18 a.m., according to the D.C. Fire and EMS Department. Fire officials reported the crash on their X account around 7:48 a.m.
One individual was trapped in the other vehicle but was extricated and transported to the hospital with minor injuries. D.C. Fire confirmed that the injured person was not in the military truck.
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the crash. Further information is being sought from the National Guard regarding the military truck’s involvement.
No lane closures have been reported.
