Lone Jack, MO. – An 85-year-old man was killed in a car crash that left two others seriously injured on Saturday evening in Lone Jack.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:45 p.m. on Highway 50 at Route F.
A 55-year-old Oak Grove man was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Route F and was crossing the intersection when he collided with a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 66-year-old Sedalia man.
The 1997 Silverado slid and collided with a passing 2019 Ford F-150 driven by a 67-year-old Sibley man.
An 85-year-old male passenger from Oak Grove was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
A 54-year-old Oak Grove man and a 66-year-old Warrensburg woman were also passengers and were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
The 66-year-old driver of the 2002 Silverado sustained minor injuries but declined treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
