Lake County, IL. – A 72-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Monday morning near Lake Zurich in Lake County.
According to the Lake Zurich Police Department, the fatal crash happened on Pheasant Ridge Drive near Old Mill Grove Road at around 11:30 a.m.
The man was driving a 2016 Chrysler 200 eastbound on Pheasant Ridge Drive when he lost control and collided with a 2015 Hyundai.
The man was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital where he died in the emergency room.
A passenger in the Chrysler was also hospitalized with unknown injuries.
More details about the crash were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
