56-Year-Old Man Killed in Chattanooga Crash on Brainerd Road and Moore Roa
Chattanooga, Tennessee – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday night traffic accident that killed a 56-year-old man in Chattanooga.
The deadly three-vehicle accident transpired at about 8:43 p.m., on March 16, on Moore Road at the intersection of Brainerd Road.
According to the police, a GMC Safari and a Freightliner 1FV truck were headed eastbound in the 4800 block of Brainerd Road when a Nissan Armada stopped on Moore Road at the intersection of Brainerd Road.
The truck was carrying a wooden utility pole with a red flag marker attached to the end. Unfortunately, as the truck was making a right turn into a parking lot, the GMC struck the utility pole causing it to break and remain lodged in the GMC windshield, the officials said.
Following the collision, the GMC reportedly drifted across lanes of travel and struck the stopped Armada.
Sadly, the driver of the GMC was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
