A man died Monday night following a crash on U.S. Route 2 in Canaan.
Anthony Hunt, 28, was driving a 2018 Dodge Charger around 9 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, veered off the right side of the road, and struck trees, according to authorities. Hunt was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by the Waterville Morning Sentinel.
The crash occurred near the Canaan-Skowhegan town line. The incident remains under investigation by law enforcement. No additional details regarding other vehicles or injuries were confirmed.
