MEADE COUNTY, Ky. — A crash on US 60 in Meade County on Thursday morning resulted in one fatality and left two others with life-threatening injuries.
According to Kentucky State Police, the incident occurred around 10:32 a.m. in the 14000 block of US 60. The crash involved a semitruck traveling east that crossed the center line and collided with a pickup truck.
The passenger in the pickup, identified as 80-year-old Jerry Ricketts from Shepherdsville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semitruck and the driver of the pickup were both transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the crash, and it is currently unclear if any charges will be filed.
