LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A juvenile was killed and another injured in a golf cart crash on South Fishing Creek Road on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the golf cart left the roadway and overturned. One juvenile sustained injuries, while another was transported to Fort Logan ER, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed that the incident is still under investigation. Lincoln County Public Schools identified the deceased as seventh grader Dawson Rapp, calling it a “tragic accident.” Counseling services will be made available for Lincoln County Middle School students following the incident.
“Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Dawson’s family, friends, and everyone affected by this loss,” the school stated.
