JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Jessamine County man, Robert Guy, has been indicted on charges including first-degree assault following a July 4 crash injuring a juvenile passenger.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Bethel Road, where deputies found two individuals with serious injuries. Both were transported to a local hospital. Guy was identified as the driver of the vehicle, which had a juvenile female passenger.
The Jessamine County Sheriff's Office led a multi-week investigation through its Collision Reconstruction Unit, culminating in the grand jury presentation on November 12. Guy faces multiple charges, which include:
- First-degree assault
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol, second offense
- Operating on a DUI suspended license, first offense (aggravated)
Authorities reported that Guy was arrested and housed at the Jessamine County Detention Center following the indictments. The investigation remains ongoing.
