Military Truck-Involved Crash Near Capitol Hill Leaves One Injured
WASHINGTON — A military truck and another vehicle collided near Capitol Hill on Wednesday morning, according to the D.C. Fire and EMS Department.
Authorities reported the crash occurred at the intersection of N. Carolina Avenue Southeast and 8th Street around 6:18 a.m. D.C. Fire shared details on their X account at approximately 7:48 a.m.
Emergency responders extricated one individual from the vehicle and transported them to a hospital with minor injuries. D.C. Fire confirmed that the injured person was a passenger in the other vehicle, not in the military truck.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the incident. 7News is currently seeking additional information from the National Guard regarding the military vehicle’s involvement.
