Military Truck Involved in Crash Near Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON (7News) — A military truck collided with another vehicle near Capitol Hill on Wednesday morning.

According to the D.C. Fire and EMS Department, the accident occurred at N. Carolina Avenue Southeast and 8th Street around 6:18 a.m. The D.C. Fire reported the incident on their X account at 7:48 a.m.

Emergency responders extricated an individual who was trapped in the non-military vehicle. The injured party was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, as confirmed by D.C. Fire. Officials noted that the injured person was not in the military truck.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the crash. 7News is currently in contact with the National Guard for additional details. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
