Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Aurora reopened Thursday morning following a multi-vehicle crash.
According to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), the highways reopened at approximately 10:42 a.m. after being closed earlier due to the incident, which occurred between Tower Road and Airport Boulevard.
Authorities reported that a vehicle rear-ended a box truck, becoming lodged underneath it. The driver deemed at fault sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital.
CDOT updated the public through social media at around 8:47 a.m. regarding lane closures caused by the crash.
Emergency responders from the Aurora Police Department were on the scene to manage the situation.
