Rudy Giuliani Injured in New Hampshire Car Crash
Rudy Giuliani is recovering from a fractured vertebra and other injuries after a car crash in New Hampshire Saturday evening.
According to a statement from his head of security, Michael Ragusa, Giuliani’s vehicle was rear-ended while traveling on a highway. The former New York City mayor, 81, was taken to a local trauma center for treatment of injuries including a fractured thoracic vertebra, multiple lacerations, contusions, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg.
Ragusa stated that Giuliani is in good spirits and is recovering well, adding that the crash was not a targeted attack. He also clarified that Giuliani, in a rental car, was not recognized at the time of the incident.
Prior to the accident, Giuliani had responded to a domestic violence incident by flagging down a woman in need, with authorities confirming that the subsequent crash was unrelated to this event.
Additional comments from Giuliani’s spokesperson, Ted Goodman, and inquiries to the New Hampshire State Police for further details have not yet received responses.
Giuliani’s son, Andrew, thanked supporters on social media for their outpouring of concern following the crash.
This incident adds to Giuliani’s tumultuous recent years following his role as President Donald Trump’s personal attorney and his involvement in unfounded election fraud allegations.
