ROCKFORD (WREX) — A rollover crash involving two vehicles temporarily blocked Main St. near Bypass 20 on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Main St. and the westbound Bypass 20 exit and entrance ramps. A van and a sedan were involved in the collision.
According to Rockford Fire Department personnel on the scene, the sedan rolled onto its roof, trapping one person inside. Emergency responders had to extricate the individual, who was subsequently hospitalized with minor injuries.
Authorities expect to reopen the northbound lanes of Main St. once the vehicles are removed and any debris cleared.
