Injuries Reported in Giuliani’s Crash; Recovery Underway

Lede: Rudy Giuliani, 81, is recovering from multiple injuries suffered in a car crash on Saturday in New Hampshire.

According to New Hampshire State Police, Giuliani was a passenger in a rented Ford Bronco when it was struck from behind by a Honda HR-V driven by a 19-year-old woman. The collision occurred late Saturday evening, causing both vehicles to collide with the highway median and sustain significant damage.

Both drivers and Giuliani were transported to hospitals for treatment of injuries. Authorities reported Giuliani sustained a fractured thoracic vertebra, lacerations, and contusions, primarily affecting his left arm and lower leg. His spokesperson, Ted Goodman, and the 19-year-old driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, Giuliani was relocated to a trauma center, where his spokesperson reassured the public of his recovery, stating he is “in good spirits” and expected to be released in a few days. He was said to be conscious and alert.

Witnesses reported that prior to the crash, Giuliani had assisted a domestic violence victim by contacting police. Officials confirmed that the crash was unrelated to that incident.

Andrew Giuliani, Rudy’s son, expressed gratitude on social media for the support received during this time, noting, “Your prayers mean the world.” Authorities have not disclosed any further details regarding the ongoing investigation.
