Man Wanted Following Hit-and-Run Accident in Downtown NOLA
A 27-year-old man is sought by police in connection with a hit-and-run accident that injured five juveniles in downtown New Orleans on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, Bryan Johnson is wanted for driving away from the scene of the crash, which occurred at approximately 1:40 p.m. at the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and Tulane Avenue. Authorities report Johnson allegedly collided with another vehicle before fleeing on foot without offering assistance to the injured.
Four victims were transported to a nearby hospital, while one was treated at the scene. Witnesses described a Kia Soul involved in the incident, which reportedly crashed into a street sign near the 24/7 Discount gas station. The vehicle sustained significant damage, including deployed airbags.
Police have not disclosed which vehicle Johnson was driving during the incident.
