Rudy Giuliani Injured in New Hampshire Car Crash
WASHINGTON (TNND) — Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, 81, is recovering from multiple injuries, including a fractured vertebra, following a car crash in New Hampshire on Saturday.
According to New Hampshire State Police, Giuliani was a passenger in a rented Ford Bronco driven by his spokesperson, Ted Goodman. Their vehicle was struck from behind by a Honda HR-V at approximately 10:30 p.m. The Honda was operated by a 19-year-old woman.
The impact caused both vehicles to collide with the highway median, resulting in heavy damage. Goodman and the Honda driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals for medical attention.
Giuliani was taken to a nearby trauma center, where he received treatment for a fractured thoracic vertebra, along with multiple lacerations and injuries to his left arm and lower leg. His spokesperson, identified as Ragusa, confirmed he is in stable condition. “He’s alert, conscious, and recovering well,” Ragusa added.
Prior to the crash, Giuliani had assisted a woman who was the victim of a domestic violence incident, but authorities clarified that the subsequent accident was unrelated.
Andrew Giuliani, Rudy Giuliani’s son, expressed gratitude to supporters in a post on X, stating, “Your prayers mean the world.” Ragusa confirmed that Giuliani is expected to be discharged in a few days and will return to work shortly thereafter.
