MEDFORD, Ore. – A car crashed into a dental clinic on Murphy Rd. on May 9, resulting in injuries to two individuals.
According to the Medford Police Department (MPD), 43-year-old Phillip John Hill was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, DUII of a controlled substance, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving. Hill and a clinic employee were transported to the hospital, where the employee remains in stable condition.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. when a white 2008 Ford F250 traveling west on Siskiyou Blvd veered through an intersection at Lazy Creek Rd, colliding with the clinic.
MPD Sergeant Randy Jewell indicated that the agency's accident reconstruction team is assessing the scene. The team will document the crash and investigate possible mechanical errors, while the driver will undergo screening for intoxicants at the hospital.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office will prosecute the case. This is an ongoing investigation, and further details will be updated as they become available.
