Rudy Giuliani Injured in New Hampshire Car Crash
Rudy Giuliani, 81, was hospitalized on Saturday evening after his vehicle was struck from behind on a highway in New Hampshire.
According to a statement from Michael Ragusa, Giuliani’s head of security, he sustained a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations, and contusions, along with injuries to his left arm and lower leg. He was taken to a nearby trauma center for treatment and remains in good spirits, Ragusa reported.
Ragusa clarified that the accident was not a targeted attack. Giuliani’s vehicle was hit while he was assisting a woman who had been a victim of domestic violence by contacting the police on her behalf. The crash was described as “random and unrelated” to that incident.
No other details regarding the number of vehicles involved or lane closures were provided. New Hampshire State Police have not yet commented on the investigation.
Andrew Giuliani, Rudy’s son, expressed gratitude for the public’s support following the incident, stating that the prayers are deeply appreciated.
This incident follows a challenging period for Giuliani, a former mayor of New York City known for his leadership after the September 11 attacks, and later involvement in legal controversies regarding the 2020 presidential election.
