Giuliani Injured in Car Crash Following Domestic Violence Incident

Lede: Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was injured in a car crash on Interstate 93 in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Saturday night.

According to New Hampshire State Police, the crash occurred around 9:59 p.m. when Giuliani and his driver, Theodore Goodman, were struck from behind while traveling northbound at mile marker 23.2. They had previously stopped to assist a woman involved in a domestic violence incident on the southbound side of the highway.

The vehicle that collided with Giuliani’s Ford Bronco was driven by a 19-year-old woman from Concord. Authorities confirmed that no life-threatening injuries were reported among the involved parties, although Giuliani sustained a fractured vertebra, lacerations, and contusions.

Emergency responders, including state troopers already at the scene of the domestic violence investigation, provided immediate aid. As of Monday, no charges have been filed, and the investigation into the crash, including the potential factors of distraction or curiosity regarding the initial incident, is ongoing.

Giuliani’s spokesman stated the crash was not a targeted attack and requested privacy for Giuliani during his recovery. Following the incident, Giuliani was taken to a trauma center and is reportedly in stable condition.

Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the crash to contact Sergeant Mark Dore at 603-223-4381.
